Amy Bobeda is a Lecturer in the Visual Arts Department at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, Naropa University. She holds an MFA from Naropa University, a BA from UC Santa Cruz, and a Cosmetology License from Alameda Beauty College. Her work spans poetry, illustration, film, and fashion art, with a focus on menstruation, cultural origins, Native American literature, and ecology.
Her research interests include the intersection of myth, fairy tales, dreams, and ecological themes in art and literature. Notable works include Red Memory (Flowersong Press) and What Bird Are You? (Finishing Line Press), as well as lectures such as 'The Poetics of Menstruation' at UCL and 'Joining Threads Across Time' with the Coalition for Community Writing (2021).
Her creative work has been featured in TYPO Magazine, DQ Fives, Ecotheo Review, and other publications. She is an alum of the Mud House Residency and Writers Workshop Paris.
