Dr. Amy Balogh serves as Lead Lecturer in Religious Studies and Theology at Regis College, Regis University, where she teaches courses in myth, Judaism, comparative religions, and theories and methods. Her academic expertise centers on Hebrew Bible and ancient Near Eastern studies within the humanities framework.
Her educational qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in Religious & Theological Studies with concentration in Biblical Interpretation – Hebrew Bible from University of Denver & Iliff School of Theology (2016)
- Certificate in Historical & Archaeological Conservation from International Conservation Center in Israel (2012)
- M.A. in Bible & Ancient Semitic Languages from Jewish Theological Seminary (2008)
- B.A. in Biblical Studies from Patten University (2005)
Dr. Balogh's research employs interdisciplinary methodologies from anthropology and religious studies to analyze ancient texts, with particular focus on comparative approaches, myth theory, and the intersection of humankind and nature in biblical contexts. Her work bridges traditional biblical scholarship with contemporary theoretical frameworks.
