Dr. Amrita Limbu is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds School of Law, contributing to the AHRC-funded 'Making it to the Registers' project examining migrant healthcare workers' regulatory experiences in the UK. Her work bridges migration studies, labor dynamics, and transnational family dynamics with a focus on emotional and affective dimensions.
Education:
- PhD in Culture & Society from Western Sydney University
Research Interests: She investigates migration pathways (education migration to Australia, labor migration to Qatar), transnational family relationships, emotional geographies of migration, and policy impacts on migrant communities. Her interdisciplinary approach combines qualitative and quantitative methods.
