Amrita Datta

Amrita Datta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Loyola University New Orleans. She has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels since 2007, with appointments in the School of Nursing (2018) and the Department of Biological Sciences (2021). Her research focuses on cancer signaling, drug discovery, and biomarker development, with over 12 years in breast cancer and 6 years in prostate cancer research. She has taught bioinformatics, pharmacology, and molecular biology to graduate, medical, and doctoral students, authored book chapters and reviews, and contributed to heavily cited publications.
