Amrita Das is a researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in interdisciplinary and transnational studies. Her work focuses on inclusive education practices, transcultural movements in poetry, and the migration of Arabic poetic forms to American literature. She holds a PhD from VU Amsterdam, where her dissertation analyzed the global journey of the ghazal, a traditional Arabic poetic form.
Her research interests include designing inclusive educational models, particularly the 'Mixed Classroom' approach, and exploring linguistic aspects like global English pronunciation through MOOCs. She has collaborated on projects such as 'Mixed Classroom in Practice' and received grants like the Clue+ Grant and Mozaiek Scholarship.
