Dr. Amrik Sohal is a Professor at the Department of Management, Monash Business School, Monash University. His expertise spans Operations/Innovation Management, Supply Chain Management, Circular Economy, and Healthcare Improvement. He holds a PhD in Operations Management from the University of Bradford, alongside a BEng (Hons) and MBA from the same institution. Sohal has secured grants from the Australian Research Council, state/federal governments, and industry partners, and has led over 40 research projects. His research focuses on circular economy sustainability, healthcare supply chains, construction industry operations, and medical technologies.
He has authored/co-authored over 260 journal articles, three books, and numerous book chapters. Awards include the Vice-Chancellor's Postgraduate Supervision Award (2001), ANZAM Life Fellowship (2011), and multiple Dean’s Excellence Awards (2010, 2013). Sohal chairs major projects like the Building 4.0 CRC and leads the ARC Training Centre for Cell and Tissue Engineering Technologies. He contributes to editorial boards of leading journals and has guest-edited special issues.
