Dr. Amrei Müller is a Lecturer at the Sutherland School of Law, University College Dublin, focusing on human rights law, international humanitarian law (IHL), and international health law. She holds a PhD and LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham and a BA in International Relations from Technische Universität Dresden.
Her research explores the interplay between IHL and human rights law, particularly regarding non-state armed groups, the human right to health, and the right to participate in science. She has significantly contributed to debates on pandemic preparedness, migrants' health rights, and legal frameworks for non-state actors.
Recent publications analyze institutional frameworks for scientific progress, global health governance, and the legal obligations of de facto regimes. She has authored and co-edited books on socio-economic rights in conflict and human rights diplomacy.

Müller supervises PhD candidates and teaches Law of Armed Conflict, International Human Rights Law, and the European Convention on Human Rights. Her work bridges legal theory, health governance, and conflict resolution.
