Amr Adly

Amr Adly is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at The American University in Cairo (AUC). His work spans political economy, economic sociology, and development studies, with a regional focus on the Middle East and Egypt.

• Prior Roles: Researcher at the European University Institute's Middle East Directions Program; Project Manager at Stanford's Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law
• Publications: Author of Cleft Capitalism (Stanford University Press, 2020) and State Reform and Development in the Middle East (Routledge, 2012)
