Amos Dossi

Dr. Amos Dossi serves as Senior Researcher at ETH Zurich's Center for Security Studies (CSS), where he heads the Defense Policy and Armaments Procurement team. His work bridges academic research and practical policy analysis at the intersection of military development and technological innovation, with special focus on small and medium-sized states' defense postures.

His educational background includes a doctorate in political science from the University of St. Gallen (supervised by Prof. Dr. James W. Davis), an M.Sc. in history of science and technology from Oxford University, and a BA in political science and modern history from the University of Zurich. Prior to his current position, he worked at the Swiss defense company RUAG and served as research associate at ETH Zurich's Military Academy.

Dossi's research interests concentrate on defense policy frameworks, armaments cooperation dynamics, and strategic autonomy for small states.
