Amjad Umar

Dr. Amjad Umar is a Professor and Director of the Information Systems Engineering and Management (ISEM) program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and an Adjunct Professor of Systems & Telecommunications at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as Chief Architect of the United Nations Partnership on Small Islands (ICT4SIDS), focusing on smart hubs and towns for Small Island Developing States. With 30+ years of experience, he has held senior roles at Bellcore (Bell Labs), advised over 40 developing countries, and led global consulting engagements in IT planning, enterprise architectures, and digital transformation.
