Amjad B. Ahmad

Amjad B. Ahmad is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Extension Agent affiliated with the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He leads initiatives in the Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program (SOAP), focusing on practical solutions for local farmers.

• MS in Field Crops - Legume Production (Mosul University)
• BS in Agronomy (Mosul University)

His research spans Sustainable and Organic Agriculture, with emphasis on soil fertility, plant nutrition, and crop diversity. Recent publications highlight organic pest control, mental health challenges in agriculture, and revitalizing Hawaiʻi’s banana industry.

Dr. Ahmad collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including the Waimanalo Learning Center, and contributes to the Hanai'Ai Quarterly Newsletter. His work bridges scientific research and community engagement.
