Amitav Saha

Amitav Saha is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Notre Dame Australia’s School of Law & Business in Sydney. A Certified Practising Accountant and Fellow of CPA Australia, he holds advanced qualifications in accounting. His research focuses on international accounting standards, sustainability, reporting transparency, and corporate disclosures, with publications in journals like Abacus, Accounting & Finance, and the Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics. He has presented globally and received prestigious awards, including the AAA’s 2020 Best Paper Award for work on graduate employability. His 2018 research on IFRS disclosure overload was featured at the International Accounting Standards Board’s annual forum.

Teaching excellence is central to his career: he earned the 2015 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching and boasts over a decade of experience in curriculum design, accreditation management, and program development. He serves on the Advisory Panel of Australia’s Accounting Standards Board, advising on corporate disclosures. His contributions to the profession were recognized by CPA Australia’s 2017 NSW President’s Award for Excellence. His research portfolio includes competitive grants and international conference presentations across Australia, Europe, and the U.S.
