Dr. Amirkianoosh Kiani is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University, an MSc from Kiev Polytechnic Institute, and a BSc from Isfahan University of Technology.
His research focuses on advanced manufacturing techniques, including laser materials processing, micro/nano manufacturing, and energy materials. Key areas include nanomaterials for energy storage (e.g., pseudocapacitors, batteries), optoelectronic materials, and tribology of graphene-enhanced lubricants. His work integrates cutting-edge laser technologies with computational methods like AI-driven parameter optimization.
Dr. Kiani’s publications emphasize innovative fabrication methods (e.g., ULPING technique for nanostructured electrodes) and interdisciplinary applications in energy systems and biomedical devices.
