Professor Amir Sam serves as Head of the Imperial College School of Medicine and holds a professorship in the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. He is a consultant physician and endocrinologist at Hammersmith and Charing Cross hospitals, and Director of the Charing Cross Campus. His roles include leading educational initiatives, such as chairing the UK Medical Licensing Assessment clinical skills group and the MLA applied knowledge test construction group. He has also led national projects at the UK Medical Schools Council.
Education: BSc (First Class Honours) in Neuroscience from University College London (UCL), medical training with prizes at Oxford and London, and a PhD in neuroendocrinology as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London.
