Dr. Amir Rezaei Ardani is an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. He obtained his MD from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) in 2004 and completed his psychiatry residency at MUMS. Prior to joining Western, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at MUMS from 2010–2023.

- Training: Psychiatry residency and 2022 forensic psychiatry fellowship at Western University
His clinical expertise spans forensic psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and dual disorders. He pioneered the concurrent disorder program at MUMS and established treatment protocols for correctional populations with dual diagnoses. Research interests include addiction-sleep interactions and harm reduction strategies in forensic psychiatry. He has received funding from the Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences Research Center at MUMS.
As Director of Postgraduate Education for MUMS Psychiatry (2014–2018), he developed addiction training curricula. Current affiliations include Schulich Psychiatry and the Western University forensic psychiatry program.
