Amir McClam is a writer, educator, and ceramicist pursuing an MFA in Poetry at Cornell University. They teach courses such as ENGL 1160: FWS: Intersections: Race, Writing, and Power and ENGL 2800: Creative Writing. Previously, they served as an assistant editor for Epoch Magazine and The Amistad. Their work explores Black queer and trans feminisms, embodiment, and healing’s role in social change.
Education: B.S. in Psychology from Howard University (2022).
Research & Writing: Amir’s poetry examines intersections of identity, healing, and societal transformation. Their work has been published in Nimrod International Journal and The Amistad.
