Dr. Amin Yazdani is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo and Adjunct Faculty at Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences. He serves as Chair of the Research Ethics Committee and Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness & Performance at Conestoga College. Holding a PhD, his expertise spans human factors, ergonomics, and applied research in workplace safety.

Research Interests: Dr. Yazdani focuses on preventing musculoskeletal disorders and work disabilities through innovative solutions. He employs field-to-lab-to-field methodologies to enhance workplace safety and productivity, collaborating with industry partners. His work emphasizes wearable technologies, anthropometry, and user-centered design to create inclusive and efficient work environments.
Awards & Recognition: Honored with the Young Leader Award from the Standards Council of Canada for contributions to workplace safety standards.
Advising & Grants: Mentors graduate and undergraduate students, preparing them for leadership in occupational health. Secured funding from tri-council agencies and the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Currently available to supervise Occupational and Public Health (MSc) students in 2025-2026.
