Amin Fakhari

Amin Fakhari is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stony Brook University, where he has been since 2021. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at SUNY Korea from 2017 to 2019. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (2015) and was a Research Scholar at Stony Brook University (2013). His research focuses on robotics, control systems, dynamical systems, and mechatronics, with specialties in dextrous manipulation planning, force/motion planning, and slippage control in robotic systems. He aims to develop robotic systems that rival human capabilities.
