Amin Behzadmehr is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Sistan and Baluchestan University. With over two decades of academic experience, he has established himself as a prominent researcher in thermal-fluid sciences and energy systems. His career spans teaching, research supervision, and editorial responsibilities, with a consistent publication record from 1997 to the present.
- Full Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Sistan and Baluchestan University
- Chief Editor of a Scientific Journal (2013-Present)
- Active researcher with over 90 publications in international journals
Dr. Behzadmehr completed his educational journey with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Sistan and Baluchestan University (1985-1989), followed by an M.S. from Tabriz University (1994-1995), and culminated with a Ph.D. from Sherbrooke University (2000-2004).
His research primarily focuses on heat transfer phenomena, fluid dynamics, and energy conversion systems. Specializing in nanofluids and computational fluid dynamics, he has made significant contributions to understanding mixed convection, thermal management systems, and renewable energy applications. His work spans theoretical modeling, numerical simulation, and experimental investigations, with particular emphasis on practical engineering applications.
The analysis of his recent publications (2020-2022) reveals a strategic evolution in his research focus. While maintaining his core expertise in heat transfer and fluid dynamics, he has expanded into emerging areas including triboelectric nanogenerators for energy harvesting, magnetohydrodynamic micropumps for biomedical applications, and advanced desalination techniques. His work demonstrates a strong interdisciplinary approach, bridging mechanical engineering with materials science, biomedical engineering, and sustainable energy systems.
Dr. Behzadmehr has supervised multiple graduate students through thesis and dissertation research, with projects spanning nanofiber synthesis, nanofluid heat transfer, and composite material development. His research has been supported through university grants and collaborative projects with colleagues both within Iran and internationally.
Within the university's research ecosystem, he contributes to the Mechanical Engineering Department's laboratories focused on thermal-fluid sciences, where experimental work on nanofluids, heat transfer enhancement, and energy systems takes place. His research group maintains strong connections with international collaborators, particularly in Canada (reflecting his Ph.D. institution) and other research centers specializing in thermal engineering and nanotechnology.
