Amelie Michalke

Dr. Amelie Michalke is a Researcher at the Department of Sustainability Science and Applied Geography, part of the College of Geography and Geology at the University of Greifswald. Her work focuses on quantifying external ecological and social impacts in agricultural supply chains, sustainable food system transformations, and consumer behavior related to true cost accounting.

• Current Project: Lead researcher in the third-party funded project HoMaBiLe (How much is the dish?), which monetizes biodiversity loss costs from food production not reflected in market prices.
• Career: Scientific Assistant at the Chair of Production and Supply Chain Management (University of Augsburg, 2020-present); Scientific Assistant at Tollwood GmbH (Munich, 2018); Student Assistant at the University of Augsburg (2017-2018).
