Amelie Bendheim is an Assistant Professor at the University of Luxembourg, Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Department of Humanities. Specializing in German Literature and Medieval Studies, she serves as Deputy Director of the Institut für deutsche Sprache, Literatur und Interkulturalität and as Erasmus Coordinator for Incoming Students.
- Research Focus: Historical Narratology, Intercultural Medieval Studies, Premodern Medical Humanities, Media History, Literary Patronage of the Luxembourg Dynasty
Her scholarly work examines medieval narrative structures through media-historical lenses, particularly in Wechselrahmen (2017) and later collaborations on health metaphors and disease aesthetics. She co-edits the open-access journal Zeitschrift für interkulturelle Germanistik and contributes to the Medical Philologies series.
