Dr. Ameila Carr is a Professor of Supply Chain Management at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), affiliated with the Schmidthorst College of Business's Department of Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Purchasing and Logistics Management from Arizona State University (1996). Her expertise spans strategic sourcing, buyer-supplier relationships, IT-driven supply chain integration, and closed-loop supply chains. She leads the Supply Chain Management Institute at BGSU and has held academic roles at Ohio State University and Georgia State University.
Dr. Carr’s research focuses on sustainability (e.g., glass recycling challenges) and service-manufacturing supply chain synergies. She has published in journals like Journal of Public Procurement and International Journal of Integrated Supply Management. Awards include the Stan Hardy Award for Best Paper (2017) and recognition for teaching and mentorship.
