Amee Gollop is a Senior Research Associate at the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) within the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA). She collaborates with Prof. Manoj Joshi and Prof. David Stevens on the ImPOse project, addressing discrepancies in tropical Pacific sea surface temperature trends. Her work focuses on enhancing climate models to better represent equatorial Pacific processes under climate change.
Education: MEd in Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Mathematics Specialism) from UEA (2017), Fellow of Advanced HE (2023). She previously worked as a Mathematics Education Specialist in Norfolk schools, developing curricula aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Research interests include climate modeling, atmospheric-ocean interactions, and improving scientific communication. She chairs the ENV Researchers' Affairs Forum and co-founded the CRU Early Career Researcher Meetup. Her funded projects include NERC-supported climate modeling initiatives.
Awards: Advanced HE Fellowship (2023). She has contributed to peer-reviewed articles on climate model development, aerosol perturbations, and science writing strategies. Her work bridges academic research with educational outreach.
