Amber Sechelski

Amber Sechelski is a Medical Educator at Sam Houston State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). She earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University and a doctoral degree in higher education leadership from SHSU, alongside graduate certificates in academic advising and a teaching certificate in English, Language Arts, and Reading.

• Key roles: Veterinary technician (Texas A&M), high school English teacher, Academic Mentor, Senior Academic Mentor, Assistant Director of Academic Support Programs, and learning specialist for SHSU-COM.
• Her pedagogical expertise includes academic support, study skills training, and fostering student success through time management, test-taking strategies, and stress reduction.

Amber received two Dean’s Awards for Exceptional Graduate Student Research during her doctoral studies. She actively contributes to medical education by integrating her academic and clinical experiences into COM's Educational Affairs team.
