Amber Miller

Amber Miller is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Regional Coordinator for the LA/San Fernando Valley at the University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy. She has been with the university since 2019 and teaches advanced pharmacy practice experiential courses, including PHARM 175, PHARM 176, and an elective APPE in research. Her role emphasizes clinical training and professional development for pharmacy students.

Dr. Miller is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Board-Certified Critical Care Pharmacist (BCCCP), with strong affiliations to national professional organizations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), and the Neurocritical Care Society.

Her research interests focus on evaluating the impact of protocolized, pharmacist-driven practices on patient care outcomes, particularly in critical care environments. She is dedicated to assessing whether clinical interventions improve patient safety and outcomes, and how to refine practices based on evidence.

Dr. Miller’s teaching philosophy centers on engaging learners through visual, auditory, and written platforms, promoting a respectful and comfortable learning environment. She uses the Socratic method to encourage critical thinking and professional growth.

She is actively involved in her community, promoting heart health through the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and supporting pharmacy career awareness at local high schools.
