Amaël Maskens serves as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at UCLouvain's Institut Supérieur de Philosophie while completing his PhD in political philosophy at the Hoover Chair in Economic and Social Ethics.

His doctoral work investigates how conflict clarification operations impact deliberative democracy's normative validity within political systems, seeking to define operationally acceptable conflict-resolution frameworks that uphold democratic ideals.
