Amarjit Gill

Dr. Amarjit Gill is a Lecturer at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. He holds a PhD (Touro University International) and has over 20 years of teaching experience in corporate finance, risk management, and entrepreneurship. He has supervised/co-supervised seven PhD and two undergraduate students, and serves as an external examiner for PhD programs.

Dr. Gill's research focuses on corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, risk and insurance, and investment behavior. His work has been published in journals like International Journal of Managerial Finance and Emerging Markets Review, with over 7,250 citations. He has received three Best Paper Awards for studies on family control, religious beliefs, and small business financing.

He has presented at international conferences and delivered keynote speeches, including on 'Contemporary issues for small business firms' (2021). His research explores capital structure, family control, venture capital, and corporate governance, often analyzing Canadian and Indian contexts.
