Amar Bennadji

Amar Bennadji is a Lecturer in the Sustainable Built Environment at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Research Center for Built Environment – NoorderRuimte. His work focuses on sustainability, material transition, and vocational education in the construction sector across the Northern Netherlands.

• Active Projects: Double Dike Experimental Farm (2024–2026), Circular Trust Building (2023–2026), CityLogistic 2.0 (2023–2027), and Reaching out to Europe (2023–2024).

His research examines the competencies required for construction workers during material transition processes, leveraging interdisciplinary methodologies like perspective and thematic analyses. A 2025 article in The International Journal of Adult, Community and Professional Learning highlights his work on this topic.

Recent activities include participation in the National Symposium "From Here to Beyond, From Enemy to Guest" (2023) and the Northern Space Heritage Meeting (2023), underscoring his engagement in regional built environment challenges.
