Dr. Amanuel G. Tekleab is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and Interim Chair of the Department of Management at Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and a BSc from Addis Ababa University. His academic career spans over two decades, including prior positions as Associate Professor (2009-2017) and Assistant Professor (2006-2009) at Wayne State, and Assistant Professor at Clarkson University (2003-2006).
His research focuses on psychological contracts, team processes, leadership, and organizational change. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Managerial Psychology and on editorial boards of multiple top journals including Journal of Organizational Behavior and Journal of Management Studies. His work appears in premier outlets like Academy of Management Journal and Strategic Management Journal.
Tekleab has received numerous accolades including Wayne State's President's Award for Teaching Effectiveness (2022), Board of Visitors Fellowship (2011-2014), and multiple best paper awards. He actively contributes to the Africa Academy of Management as Executive Member and conference organizer.
