Dr. Amaneh MOHAMMADIROUSHANDEH is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy at the School of Biomedical Sciences, UNSW since December 2022. She serves as convenor and co-convenor for courses targeting medical and science students. With over 17 years of experience in anatomical sciences, her teaching spans gross anatomy, histology, and embryology. She actively contributes to educational committees, faculty accreditation, and student evaluations. Her research focuses on regenerative medicine (including mesenchymal stem cells and tissue regeneration), clinical anatomy, cancer biology, mitochondrial diseases, and developmental biology. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals.
Key achievements include awards such as “Distinguished Researcher” in Razi Festival and Guilna Province, and recognition for teaching excellence. As a supervisor, she has guided postgraduate students in areas like regeneration, mitochondrial diseases, and embryology. She teaches courses including Human Systems 2, Introductory Anatomy, and embryology to biomedical science students. Her research activities include grants, oral presentations, and roles as principal/co-principal investigator.
She is involved in curriculum development and utilizes UNSW facilities for her work. Her contributions bridge education and research, emphasizing anatomical sciences’ clinical and academic applications.
