Amanda Wright, DO is the Dean of the Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine and an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Marian University. She oversees medical education programs, ensuring alignment with institutional mission and accreditation compliance, and continues clinical practice with local family medicine residency programs.

Research and Clinical Interests: Dr. Wright focuses on women’s health, obstetrics, global medicine, and social determinants of health. Her academic work emphasizes integrated curricular design, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), quality improvement, team-based learning, and interprofessional education. She advocates for LGBTQA healthcare equity and incorporates these themes into her leadership and teaching.
Leadership and Clinical Background: Prior to Marian University, she served as associate dean of clinical medicine at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine and program director at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria/UnityPoint Health Methodist. Her clinical experience includes full-spectrum family medicine practice in Peoria, IL.
Personal Interests: Dr. Wright enjoys horseback riding, trail running, travel, and spending time with her family, including her husband and two sons.
