Amanda Sperber is the James H. Ottaway Sr. Visiting Professor of Journalism at SUNY New Paltz's Department of Digital Media & Journalism (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences). She teaches "International Reporting," focusing on the challenges and ethical dimensions of global journalism in evolving news industries. Her role emphasizes post-colonial and conflict zone reporting dynamics.
Her research interests span investigative journalism, data-driven reporting (via partnerships with Code for Africa), and the intersection of military policy, human rights, and international conflict.
