Amanda Reynolds serves as an Assistant Professor of Social Work in the Social Work Department at Loras College, where she resumed teaching in 2022 after graduating from the institution. She concurrently directs the Dubuque-based non-profit Urban Bicycle Food Mission, integrating community service with academic work.
Her academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Loras College (2006)
- Master of Human Services from Capella University (2012)
- Master of Social Work from St. Ambrose University (2013)
Reynolds maintains focused research and practice interests in food insecurity, homelessness, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, informed by extensive field experience in child welfare systems, substance use treatment, foster care/adoption services, and mental health counseling. Her work bridges academic scholarship with direct community intervention through nonprofit leadership.
As director of Urban Bicycle Food Mission, she spearheads initiatives addressing systemic food access barriers in the Dubuque region, demonstrating applied commitment to her research interests.
