Amanda Pacholak

Dr. Eng. Amanda Pacholak is a researcher at Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering, Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry. She holds a doctoral degree obtained in 2023, following her Master of Science in Engineering (2016) with specialization in organic technology, and a professional master's degree in medical analytics (2018) from Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań.

Her research focuses on environmental microbiology and biotechnology, with particular emphasis on:

• Interactions between antibiotics/antifungal compounds and environmental bacteria
• Mechanisms of biodegradation of pharmaceutical pollutants
• Microbial adaptation to xenobiotic compounds
• Cell surface properties and nanomechanical characteristics of bacteria

Dr. Pacholak's publication record demonstrates a strong interdisciplinary approach combining microbiology, biochemistry, and environmental engineering. Her recent work examines nitrofuran antibiotics, azole antifungal compounds, and their environmental fate, with applications in wastewater treatment and understanding antibiotic resistance development.
