Amanda Korenoski is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and serves as Director of the Pittsburgh Poison Center. She holds a PharmD and Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of Pittsburgh, complemented by ASHP-accredited postgraduate residencies in health system pharmacy administration and critical care pharmacy. Board-Certified in Critical Care Pharmacy (BCCCP), she also oversees Pharmacy Ambulatory Services at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. Her roles include precepting pharmacy students and residents in medical toxicology, and contributing to the UPMC Medical Toxicology physician fellowship program. Her research interests emphasize poison control data analysis, delirium management in intensive care units, and innovative pharmacy education methodologies. Notable work includes studies on ethanol exposure in infants, trends in gabapentin toxicity, and the use of immersive simulation games for toxicology education. She has also contributed to understanding exotic snakebite cases and family involvement in delirium prevention strategies. Dr. Korenoski’s professional certifications include a Six Sigma Green Belt, reflecting her commitment to process optimization in healthcare systems.
