معرفی
Amanda Jo LeBlanc, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Louisville and a member of the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute (CII). Her research focuses on myocardial and microvascular regenerative medicine, sex-specific coronary physiology, and age-related cardiovascular dysfunction. She leads the LeBlanc Laboratory, which explores cell-based therapies, adipose-derived tissue engineering, and mitochondrial function in vascular health.
Education:
- B.S. in Exercise Science, Indiana University (2002)
- M.S. in Exercise Physiology, University of Louisville (2004)
- Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, West Virginia University (2008)
Research Interests: The lab investigates coronary microvascular dysfunction in aging, biomarkers for microvascular angina, and the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease. Current projects include reversing age-related microvascular issues via adipose-derived cell therapy and studying thrombospondin-1 signaling in coronary flow reserve decline.
Labs/Teams: Principal Investigator of the LeBlanc Laboratory at CII. Collaborates on projects involving vascular composite allografts and immune cell responses.
