Amanda Henderson

Professor Amanda Henderson is a leading academic in nursing education and practice at Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), holding roles since 2018 in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences. She also serves as Nursing Director at the Nursing Practice Development Unit, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and holds national board positions including the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Her academic journey includes degrees from the University of Queensland, University of New England, and University of New South Wales, culminating in a PhD (1999).

Her research focuses on clinical education, nursing standards, and workforce development, with notable contributions to interprofessional education models and evidence-based practice. She has led major projects such as the Interprofessional Education during Clinical Placements and Threshold Learning Outcomes initiatives for healthcare disciplines.
