Amanda Evans is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. She contributes to the Certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine and collaborates with the Center for Philosophy of Science and other departments.

- Previous Roles: McDonnell PNP postdoctoral fellow (Washington University in St. Louis), postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Philosophical Psychology (University of Antwerp)
Her research explores mental disorders to understand human agency and selfhood, bridging philosophy of mind, biomedical ethics, and philosophy of psychiatry. She actively engages with interdisciplinary projects and has a personal interest in trumpet playing and Pittsburgh's cultural offerings.
