Amanda ElBassiouny, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at California Lutheran University and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology. Her academic work focuses on the intersectionality of identities (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, mental health) and their impact on social and behavioral outcomes, particularly within the criminal justice system.
Her research examines how juror and parole board decision-making is influenced by the intersectional identities of defendants and incarcerated individuals. She is based in Swenson Hall (Room 238) and can be reached at aelbassiouny@callutheran.edu.
