Amanda Davies is a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at Monash University. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience focusing on visual processing in marmoset monkeys, and an Honours in Physiology. Her teaching commitments include courses BMA1011, BMA5011, BMA1012, and OCC4030. Her research emphasizes active learning strategies, anatomical terminology scaffolding, and chunking techniques to enhance student recall.
Key education contributions include collaborative development of anatomy/physiology curricula with Sharon Flecknoe and Kate Carroll. She has presented at numerous conferences on topics like flipped classrooms and student engagement, delivering workshops such as 'Activating the classroom' (2018-2019).
