Amanda Cawston is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Tilburg University, affiliated with the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences. Her research focuses on political philosophy, feminist philosophy, migration ethics, and animal ethics, with a particular emphasis on the ethics of violence and non-violent resistance. She has published on topics such as celebrity politics, democratic elitism, video game ethics, and epistemic power dynamics. Cawston teaches courses including Political Philosophy, Migration, Refugees and Human Rights, and a master’s seminar on the Philosophy & Anthropology of Health & Illness.
