Amanda Baright

Amanda Baright, DO, is a Clinical Professor and Chair of Surgery at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM). She holds dual certifications in general surgery and osteopathic medicine, with expertise in surgical education, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and global health. Dr. Baright’s career includes roles as inaugural faculty at Liberty University’s osteopathic program and practice in rural hospitals in Ohio and Wisconsin.

• Education: Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (MD), Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine fellowship (undergraduate year), General Surgery residency at Michigan State University.
• Research: Early work on antioxidant effects of grapefruit juice and Vitamin C in ADHD. Current focus integrates anatomical teaching, surgical pathology, and clinical skills training.

Her mission work spans Kenya, Togo, Honduras, Bolivia, and Ecuador, emphasizing international healthcare advocacy. She actively promotes medical Spanish proficiency at CUSOM, reflecting her academic year in Madrid and summer studies in Mexico.
