Amaia Mugica is a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester School of Theatre, specializing in movement pedagogy and interdisciplinary performance. With a background in Acting, Performing Arts Technology, and Dance Movement Therapy, she combines somatic practices with physical theatre to foster expressive, collaborative, and inclusive creative processes.

Her work spans text-based and devised theatre, musical theatre, and film, with Arts Council England funding and two awards for recent productions. Key research interests include:
