Alyssa Wind serves as the NAS Mellon Impact Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year within the Native American Studies department of the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma.
Her educational pursuits include:
- B.A. in Public and Non-Profit Administration (in progress) from the University of Oklahoma
- Minor in Native American Studies (in progress) from the University of Oklahoma
- Two years of study at the College of the Muscogee Nation
Wind's research is deeply rooted in Indigenous community engagement, with emphasis on tribal sovereignty and cultural preservation. Her work integrates ancestral knowledge with contemporary governance models to address challenges in Native communities.
