Alyesha Proctor

Alyesha Proctor serves as a NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow and Paramedic Practitioner within the Department of Allied Health Professions at the University of the West of England's Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences. Her clinical work is based in primary care, and her research addresses critical gaps in out-of-hospital emergency medical services.

Her research program centers on clinical decision-making in pre-hospital environments, examining the complex interfaces between primary care, secondary care, and ambulance services to reduce unnecessary hospital conveyances. A significant portion of her work focuses on paediatric emergency care outside hospital settings, where she investigates optimal strategies for assessment, treatment, and management of children in emergency situations.
