Alton Standifer serves as Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence and Chief of Staff to the Provost at the University of Georgia, where he leads initiatives to create inclusive academic environments and oversees institutional accreditation and effectiveness. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Public and International Affairs.
- Doctorate in Public Administration and Policy (University of Georgia)
- Bachelor’s & Master’s in Higher Education Administration (Georgia Southern University)
His research focuses on administrative strategies for inclusive excellence, leadership development in higher education, and academic policy frameworks.
Standifer has received multiple leadership honors, including University System of Georgia’s Executive Leadership Institute and 40 Under 40 recognitions from both UGA and Georgia Southern alumni associations.
He has taught middle school mathematics and held student-centered roles at Georgia Southern University prior to his administrative career at UGA.
