Alper PERÇİN is a Lecturer in the DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION at Igdir University's FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES. He holds administrative roles including Department Chairman (2022), Program Chairman (2020-2021), and Anatomical Department Chairman (2022). His academic journey includes a Doctorate (2020-2023) from Bahçeşehir University on vagus nerve stimulation in temporomandibular joint dysfunction, an MA (2018-2020) from Istanbul Okan University studying fibromyalgia disability factors, and a BSc in Physiotherapy (2012-2016) from Istanbul Science University.
PERÇİN’s research focuses on neurorehabilitation, post-COVID syndromes, fibromyalgia, and autonomic nervous system dysfunctions. He explores interventions like vagus nerve stimulation and exercise protocols, emphasizing their mechanisms and clinical applications. His work bridges complementary medicine approaches with modern physiology, particularly in chronic pain management.
His recent articles (2021-2023) address post-COVID rehabilitation, autonomic nervous system impacts, fibromyalgia musculoskeletal factors, and pandemic-induced musculoskeletal disorders in students. He leads a TÜBİTAK-funded project on calisthenics for post-COVID symptom relief (2022).
