Dr. Alon Zivony is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Sheffield's School of Psychology, joining in 2023. His research focuses on selective attention's temporal dynamics, conscious perception, and prejudice against sexual/gender minorities. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Tel Aviv University (2019), followed by postdoctoral work at Birkbeck, University of London. His theoretical framework, the diachronic account, redefines attention as a time-dependent process influencing object perception.
