Almudena Duque Sánchez serves as an Assistant Professor (Contracted Doctor) in the Department of Basic Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, Pontifical University of Salamanca. Her academic work centers on clinical and health psychology with specialized expertise in experimental psychopathology interventions.
She earned her PhD from Complutense University of Madrid in 2015 with the dissertation Evaluation and modification of attentional biases in depression: an approach from experimental psychopathology, supervised by Dr. Carmelo Vázquez Valverde. Her educational background reflects rigorous training in cognitive mechanisms underlying depressive disorders.
Her research focuses on attentional bias modification in depression, bridging experimental psychopathology with clinical interventions. Through the Clinical and Health Psychology: basic processes and intervention protocols research group, she investigates fundamental cognitive processes to develop evidence-based therapeutic protocols.
