Allison Sekuler is Professor Emeritus in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University and VP Research at Baycrest Health Sciences. She holds the Sandra A. Rotman Chair and founded the Baycrest-based brain health research lab.
Her research examines visual perception, cognitive aging, and neural plasticity using EEG and behavioral methods. Key projects investigate face processing deficits in aging, perceptual learning, and dementia prevention strategies.
Honors include the Canada Research Chair (2001) and leadership roles at McMaster (Associate VP Research, Dean of Graduate Studies). She directs interdisciplinary studies on post-COVID neurological impacts and blink-related brain dynamics.
